weapons of chose.

She, fades in to the concreteness of reality and, Awakes in the early bird singing part of the day, lying Motionless on her hay. Her arms and legs and head feel heavy, as if they are held down with bricks. Her large green eyes are open wide as She takes in the silence for only but a moment. Soon her thoughts begin to pop in… make sure and remember to finish that… oh ya pay that bill… I need to call mom about that… like popcorn in her head, they over take the morning stillness in her mind. Before the popcorn of the day threatens to invade Completely, she pulls her led arm to the night stand Next to her bed. She takes hold of her weapons of chose, her Journal, pen And, chapter three of Philippians. Pressing on, despite the gravity plagued body, she writes her to do List of the day: organize closet, get oil in car changed. Next, some notes of reminder: buy cat food, pay rent, have lunch with Sarah. She doesn’t forget to write her hopes for a new car, and a trip to the beach when s...

“ Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is “: Ingredients for a successful camping trip.

Does anybody really know what time it is, does anybody really care, about time” This is a song from Chicago’s 1972 album, and the theme of my most resent camping experience. On rout to our outdoor, home away from home, I was the DJ. Nate who is sitting in back seat says, “ Play some Chicago, you know the one about time.” As we arrived at our destination, all of us were singing the main chorus of the song over and over in our heads. (You know. When you get a particular song stuck in your head?) Later on in the day someone would ask, “ what time is it? “ The rest of us would brake out into the theme song for the weekend, followed by outbursts of laughter, or groans of not again. This song that was playing in our brains all weekend gave us a good start to a successful camping experience. Any good camping experience in my mind, starts out by leaving technology at home, that’s right, we turned off those cell phones, took off those watches, and we weren’t afraid of getting a little dirty. Friday morning

Good morning, yes it was. Last night I was feeling a bit nerves about my 9am class that I attended this morning, but it subsided farely quickly. The Class: intro to Philosopy. Last night I was a bit nerves about the posibility that Philosopy would be way too over my head, and maybe it will be still, but as my profesor began giving us an introduction to what we would be discussing this semester, the exitment began to rise inside of me, to the point of feeling an emotional response. My heart seemed to race, slightly a few times as I thought about some of the things we were going to descuss in class. (Granted I did have a cup of coffee just before class) :) i still could not ignore the exitment I felt as I antisapated this class. Today I learned that Philosphers are askers of questions. A question that came to my head as I drove home was ( Is it wise to question and wonder about these ideas, and will doing so jepordise my relationship with God? ) ( Do some people look at these though...

Ok ladies

Question? how do you treat the men in your life? Ladies, we are smart beautiful and strong in Jesus Christ. But if we treat the men in our lives with disrespect, or take over when we think they are not doing it the way it should be done, then we are not smart beautiful or strong in the Christ. In fact it takes a strangth only from Christ to be supportive positive caring. To be GENTAL, and to be kind. I have more thoughts about this but for now that's it. later tators.

"YOU ARE A REAL BOY!"

This life . . . It's not exactly what you wanted? I say that as a question because really I'm not totally sure what you wanted. It seems to me that it wasn't this so much. You must have had this in mind though, because you chose to give us a chose. You didn't just put us under a spell that would make us fall in love with you. Your desire for us was not for us to be your puppets, ( controlled by the puppet master, all feelings and actions and thoughts are the masters) you made us real. We chose not to listen to you, our creator, we chose to dought you, with the help of the puppet master. ( satin ) Now we really are under a spell. We have been turned to wood, and are controlled by him. This describes our world, some of us are slowly coming out from under the spell. Jesus Christ is the creator, and the spell breaker, we just need to believe that, and he well some day say to us, now, " YOU ARE A REAL BOY"

It's not necessary

Here I am, soon to be thirty one. As I begin this thirty first year, I begin also my first year of under grad. I have some what of an idea of the direction I'm to take, but some how it still is foggy. I still feel as if I'm trying to go down a road that has not come into complete view yet. Here's the thing though, that's ok. It is not necessary to see everything clearly before I begin this journey. I have learned that God, will never leave me or forsake me. "The bible tells me so." Now I have to step out on faith, and hold to his promises and truth. I have to remember too that time and again, he's been faithful, I can trust Him, and I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Oh! Amen!
